Ta-Daah: http://www.findmeagift.co.uk/go-dog-go-automatic-tennis-ball-launcher.html Pricey though. Great if they dig up your plot before you plant your crop ;-)

Thanks jno but I want an automatic one that the dogs can do themselves. I have a new garden that I am in the process of sorting and every time I start digging I am expected to kick the ball every two seconds. In the end I took the ball away so they decided to dig up the seed potatoes I had barely had time to cover with soil! I was then expected to kick the potatoes. You get the picture? That machine would be a life saver:-)
I have the attention span of a gnat for most YouTube clips......I was glued to that one though. I wonder how long it too them to train the dog?

Sorry I can't with your question though.
Actually while doing a little google it turns out the guy built that one himself.

Not quite the same thing, but does the job (I think)!
lol 2sp - Snap!
A 2 1/2 month lead time though......the potatoes are going to have had it by then ;-)
Great minds, Peas!
My old GSD built his own.
^^ ? Was your GSD 'Petra' from Blue Peter? ;-)

Oh thank you everybody, you're brilliant. I think it would do the trick but would need to hear how loud the noise is, don't want to annoy the neighbours. And it's out of stock in both links posted which is a shame but I can wait. Thanks again.

LOL Scrivens, I asked for that.
Indeed :-)
Pp, Petra was a collie wasn't she? My GSD built a ramp by rearranging a stack of magazines and discovered (don't know how) that if he placed a ball at the top of the ramp it would roll down. You can probably guess the rest. He didn't get quite as far as determining the value acceleration due to gravity but he understood how much accerleration was required to catch it before it hit the wall. He ran Archimedes a close second :o)
some dogs don't need a machine.

Hee, hee - what a clever GSD Jomifl :o)
