Shopping With Amazon

I have frequently shopped with Amazon and have now accidentally clicked and added a wrong item to my 'shopping basket'. It was a mistake and I want to change it but cannot find how to empty that wretched basket. Can anyone help please?

I think you'll get an option to edit your basket at the checkout.

Where it gives you a list of everything in the basket, I'm sure there is a delete option.

Many thanks for your answers. I just got a bit cross when I searched but could not find such a simple option.
