If you are buying something such has a holiday or electrical item, do you look to see what other people think or do you use your own judgement? I find it makes things even more confusing.

I'm a member of the Consumer Association and get all my info from them... http://www.which.co.uk
When buying online I do look up the reviews but if you read the best and then the worst you're no wiser, so then you have to decide for yourself. But sometimes it does flag up a snag you hadn't thought about.
I read reviews, find Amazon very useful even if I am not buying from them.
I always read reviews, with an open mind, some people are just never happy. If majority of them are bad, then I tend to look for something else, works for me.
I bought a device to chop nuts from Amazon. After using it once or twice I gave an honest review. I thought it wasn't much use.
A few people said they found my review helpful.
Sounds painful Sandy.
It was, nearly had the tip of my fingers off :-)
sandy,,we 're not worried about your fingers !!!!!
I put them into a mortar now, the nuts not the fingers, and grind them down with my pestle.
It's a mildly therapeutic experience. You can grind away some of the stress of the day.
