if a company charges you a fee to use your credit card, do you get it back if you ask for a full refund on what you've brought?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you buy in foreign currency and are charged a foreign transaction fee on the purchase (i.e. a currency conversion charge) then, yes, if the transaction is reversed by refund through the card you will also get the foreign transaction fee refunded - at least that is what my card provider does. In fact, a partial refund of the purchase price also results in a partial/proportionate refund of the foreign transaction fee.
I think that depends on why you want the refund. If its under your rights as a purchaser...so not as described, broken and so on they yes I would expect to receive back all that I had spent including charges. If its a return because it does not fit/just didn’t like and so on then I would not expect a transaction charge refund.
