Music lovers, Shopping for a sound.

I love my music and my mp3 player is one of my best buys; every music lover has their own opinion on how they want their music to sound ( I like a rich, deep bass and prefer stereo to surround sound ) As I can't afford a personal sound engineer. Is there a large chain store or a small private shop in the Cambridge area where you can try different types and makes of head/ear phones before you buy.

I have just purchased my 3rd pair (and they are cr4p) and none sound as good or are as comfotable as my minidisc earphones but the connection isn't the same.

im not sure about the cambridge area but i would suggest Koss who apparently do excellent headphones with deep bass and a lifetime gurantee - you can get them from amazon.co.uk
