Tights

Now the cooler days are coming, whats the best kind of tights? I don't want opaque, as I always wear trousers. I want 7 or 10 denier but the tights I wore this morning were clinging to my legs and made me too hot. Perhaps it was the Lycra in them? I like tights that feel as if they are not there! No clingyness. Any ideas?

Why wear tights with trousers? Would pop socks not be better?

Are you wearing your tights under your trousers?? Makes me feel hot just thinking about that!
I wouldn’t even wear pop socks, awful things, I’d just go barefoot till the cold weather dictated proper socks.

you can get knee socks which cover that unsightly pale ankle that sometimes peers out under the halfmast trouser leg.

I don't wear pop socks as I don't think they are very good for the circulation. I tend to wear ankle highs but they are OK until you sit down and then the tops are visable. I wouldn't wear tights under trousers, but the ones I wore today with a dress felt very comfortable and light. I almost forgot I was wearing them.

They were from M&S, in a 10 denier I think.
