a leaflet fell out of my sunday paper yesterday and solved my whole Xmas present dilemma as well as easing my conscience regarding the extremes of poverty elsewhere in the world. Basically u gift goats, school meals, even toilets to third world countries on behalf of whoever you would have bought a present for. Its difficult to explain but they have a website, check it out I think it's a great idea - www.oxfamunwrapped.com

For conservationists, another good idea is donating an Acre of Rainforest for 25 via the World Lane Trust. (www.worldlandtrust.org)
