There seemed to be a number of people like me employing social distancing; but unfortunately a few morons who seemed to not bother and even a few families off for a stroll round the supermarket with the kids in tow.

We went to our local Sainsbury's this morning during "Old fogey" hour. We noticed the heavies on the door refusing entry to two people who didn't look old enough - aged appearance or NHS ID seemed to be all that was required to gain entry. Last week I reported that the shop was far busier than usual; today it was really fairly quiet, as was the car park. We only wanted milk and a bit of veg and didn't notice any empty shelves, although we didn't pass the bog-rolls.
Slightly quieter, but my local library is closing and that was missing a lot of books and the jigsaw section, usually fairly well stocked, was almost empty. Toilet rolls in the four shops I went to. I live on my own not in the age or vulnerable groups and I need to eat. I have enough for as long as milk lasts then I will go out again.
""If we had an international sign for panic it would be a traffic warning sign with a toilet paper roll in the middle.""

Yes- went for milk and fruit (bananas blueberries) and some chicken or fish. No meat/fish at all. Plenty of fresh milk. No fruit or veg either. Only kitchen roll where toilet roll usually is.
As I mentioned on another thread I tried social distancing but when I stopped at shelves people kept looking over my shoulder to see what I was looking at. And the young cash desk operator was handling cards and cash plus goods whilst eating crisps from a bag with bare fingers

Went to Sainsbury's 8-9 'old gits' shopping hour. They asked our age at the door. It was very civilised everybody kept their distance and the shelves were fairly well stocked with fresh veg, fruit and meat. They had obviously had deliveries, although some things were still missing and only a few eggs left. It didn't appear to me that anyone was over buying, most people just buying one of each thing. We went a about 8.30 and when we left there was a lengthy queue of people waiting to get in. I heard from a friend whose daughter is a nurse that some NHS workers had had their identity passes stolen which is really despicable.
