You can buy wallpaper that makes an actual scene to look at rather than repeat patterns although they are not cheap. Otherwise a huge poster or maybe a wall hanging/rug or a folding screen?

thanks Prudie for suggestion - I really need to see what I have said - 4-5" wide by 12" long. That is the space exactly. I was sorta contemplating like a beautiful long mirror effect. It's difficult to explain.

5" x 12" is small. About the size of a standard ruler, but a bit wider. Is that what you are looking for?

yes Barry - it's just a little side thing on the wall where the fireplace is. Would like something sparkling.

I once decorated a small space with mini photo frames, you can pop in your own pics or even design something and do a few in a row vertically.

Mamy - that is what is on the wall now but not pictures etc, just like tiny pieces of material down the wall inside a wooden frame (not that nice). But that is generally what I would like but sparkly. Thanks for looking everybody.
