The Packer must have been a heavy smoker, every item stinks of cigarette smoke, I'm just venting my spleen here so please don't tell me to report the person, I couldn't do that, I've laid every item out on my kitchen worktops till the smell goes away

the driver won't have much input really.. it gets loaded in van then taken out in bags/crates....

Bobbi, are sur that it is ciggarette smoke and not some other form of amoke whi could possibly be coming from a fault with the silencer, or even a fault with the refrigeration unit on the van.

Definitely cigarette smoke Danny, I was myself a smoker till 30 years ago , I remember when I packed in opening my wardrobe doors after a couple of weeks and being shocked at the smell on my clothes in there

leave the stuff out for a time, it should fade..

That's what I've done Emmie, thankfully it's mostly tins and household stuff like cleaners etc
