Really Disappointed With Asda

Not done a home delivery from Asda for a while but decided to get one today.
Got most of what i needed in the basket which came to £38.
A message popped up reminding me that if my shop was over £40 i wouldn't have to pay the £3 basket fee.
Ok i think, just added a couple of small items to take it to £41.
Well, just before its due to be delivered i get a message to say a couple of my items were now out of stock with no alternatives available.
Ok, no worries i think, until i see that i have now been charged the £3 basket fee!
This i because taking off these items that THEY dont have now reduces the shop to £39.
I think this is really unfair as its not my problem they dont have these items in stock (they should have said so on the website.)
Wont be doing anymore on line shopping with them.

They should not have charged an additional £3. This is from their website, “What is the minimum order amount? You can place an order for any amount. My experience of hassling big firms is that they tend to apologise AND offer you a discount voucher. It's got to be worth a try, surely?

Since my accident(my spine ) I started shopping online with Morrisons, and pay £8 per month for unlimited deliveries, so if say I had my weekly shop delivered on a Monday, and by Thursday realised I’d forgotten a few bits I’d just book yet another delivery slot for nxt day and wouldn’t be charged any more. I think the min charge for each individual shopping delivery is £15 but still well worth it.
Asda have this ‘rewards’ thing going, I spent 57-94 on Wednesday the rough the self check out,scanned the app on my phone, it beeped but I got nothing off so I toodled to the CS desk,Lady shrugged her shoulders ‘ you didn’t scan it’ I did , I said , another shrug, I picked up my receipt just in time to hear her mumble ‘I’m sorry about that ‘ , I turned back and politely said ‘No you’re not’ and left
