it all depends on your body shape. They look good on the models, although acouple may be a bit draughty on a cool evening

You also have to consider who you are going with - first date, what your friends are like and what they wear.
Also what you feel comfortable wearing.

Maybe just be reckless and make a quick decision half an hour before you go out. It should be fun, not hard work

Not sure where you live but the BBC weather site forecasts a warmer night on Sunday rather than tomorrow, but both nights should be dry.

You are probably shopping in stores that are no longer age appropriate. Age 30 to 40 is the time to move into subtle and classy, something that says I don't need to try too hard, probably need to think more Coast and Zara, rather than newlook , more expensive but better made and can be worn for far longer as they won't date.
