I am a 48 year old bloke with two teenage children. Where can I buy well-made yet reasonably trendy clothes that won't embarrass me in front of my kids? To look like a chav would be tantamount to social suicide in their eyes. A good catalogue perhaps ?

Next seem to be pretty good in my opinion. They have a catalogue too. Their mens range isn't too overly trendy, quite simple and definitely not chav.

Have u a TXMAXX near you ? they have last year's designer clothes[ very street cred] at reasonable prices.

Why not invite teenagers along to help u choose on the pretext you want to but for them ?

best of luck

Officers Club if you've got one near you, also Asda, Tesco and Matalan, and I'll definately go with nicnic on Next.
Marks and Spencers have (some) very smart mens clothes. Well made but not cheap.
Let your kids take you shopping. It's what I do. They have a good eye for a bargain and know where to go.
do not go to TKmas lol, i agree with NEXT you will find some clothes there.Marks Spencers has some nice smart clothes only go for the 'Autograph' range. or go treat yourself and go to london especially covent garden and go to the hugo boss shop, diesel shop or zara. also if u want some nice jeans go to the Levi shop. to sum up dont go to TKmas, Debenhams or John Lewis its slighlty common and the clothes are usually quite dull

Matalan have some reasonable priced clothes but you have to be choosy to find the better quality items. I shop in Tesco for my husband and have bought a nice pair of trendy denims for my 20yr old son that fit him really well. Also if you get a mail order catalogue that can show you whats trendy by looking at what the models are wearing. Burtons have some reasonable and trendy wear for men. But a new suit costs around 100pds. However sometimes a few good quality expensive items in your wardrobe can be better than a lot of cheaper ones.

My kids are not really bothered that their dad isnt trendy,

if you can afford Gant, but yeah pretty pricey but clothes will really last, clothes suitable for all age ranges, House of Fraser got a sale on with lots of decent brands.

Good luck

Just don't buy too many collarless shirts, your kids won't want you to look like their best friends, trust me. This sounds strangely like something from the Time's Style magazine..............xxxxxxxxxx

A good, reasonably priced catalogue to try is Additions. You can also buy online.

If you are interested in online shopping of clothes then you can try "ExcelClothing" online shop. From there you can get branded clothes which suits best for you according to your age.
