The reason I said that is because Abbey's choices were described as a 'questionable bunch', and references to expensive shoes were made. Personally, I thought that rather pretentious and frankly, quite rude. In my opinion Abbey lacks confidence and seeks endorsement so I do my best to encourage her. I just wish others would too. That's all.
I agree completely Naomi. For whatever reason, Abbey looks for advice and support in her decision making. In asking this question, she is asking about what she has...not what she should have or should buy. I think she just wants to make a good impression, and could do with a boost to her confidence.

1...I don't think I'd call the dresses abbey is enquiring about 'glamourous'...they look like nice dresses for daywear.
2...most girls and women now get gel manicures which are quite long lasting. As long as nails don't look like claws or weapons...otherwise they must be tidy.
I'd just think the person I was interviewing cared enough to look nicely dressed and presented themselves as well groomed.

If that was directed at my Loboutin reference please read it again - I was advocating low heels or flats, not shoes with 'shard'-length spikes on them - the keep the Louboutins in the wardrobe was tongue in cheek as such.....Jeez. OTT the 'rude' remark was...
