Is anyone interested in this now?

I remember the first Black Friday in the UK and the hordes scrapping in the aisles over cheap and nasty TVs.

I think they're over it now

Don't bet on it. Mayhem may well return thanks to the cost-of-living crisis.

There will still be the big rush at Harrods if anyone in or going to to London.   November 24th.

it depends - I have bought in the past in particular a special cat food that was always in the Amazon black friday deals.

Also a coffee machine here and there but they were not impulse but I had been watching for a while for the lowest price.

This year I need a new cordless hoover but again - I have been watching and will wait and see if the price comes down

Amazon Black Friday is the new Black Friday!

I've got my eye on a new food processor and thought I might wait and see if it comes down in price on BF.  I'm not desperate for it, but it would be handy before Christmas.

We only buy things that we really want or need and are never tempted by the sales but we do use price trackers to check the price history.

There is nothing we need to buy at the moment so won't be bothering.

Wasn't it Amazon that kicked off Black Friday over here?

Buyers beware! As Which? has recently pointed out, prices are often lower before and after Black Friday itself.

Question Author

That's why you should always use a price tracker before you buy, ginge

I like camelcamelcamel for Amazon prices and compare it with Pricetrack.

I've not seen any reports of fighting in the aisles over cheap tat.  I think the Black Friday bubble is well and truly burst.

Have the shops (not online)  been promoting it?

KHANDRO, Bush was alleged to have said to Tony Blair, "The problem with the French is that they don't have a word for entrepreneur."

He didn't say it. It was made up by Shirley Williams.

Ignore that...

Black Friday's matter.
