Can anyone tell me whether the Solar Tan Thru bikinis and swimming costumes actually work?

I'm not sure I believe they do exactly what they claim - surely where the straps are and the material is thicker you would get some sort of tan line?

Any thoughts would be welcome! Thank you

I had one of these and tan lines on seems are only just visible with a dark tan across the shoulders and neck line
