are ipods worth it?

no not really I have a friend who works for currys and he gets one or more back everyday because they are faulty, they are over rated and there is some really good alternatives out there so shop around!!

Ipods are absolutely great! If you love your music, they are a good thing to have. I have the 30GB Ipod which stores thousands of songs, and I have it rigged up to my stereo - but if you simply want to listen to music on the move, the Ipod Shuffle is the way forward. Its the size of a packet of chewing gum, and stores enough music to keep you enteratained for a good few hours at a time. It might be worth checking out pixmania.com as they have good deals on ipod Shuffles. (eg. approx �46 including Postage)

I wanted an ipod but also wanted a knew phone so i combined the both and got the Sony Ericcsson Walkman w800i. Its really great cos it means i dont have to carry two things around and the phone memory holds loads of songs aswell, i dont know the exact mb figure but so far i have 83 songs on there but i know its quite a big memory. The phone/music player is really easy to use and the sound quality is great. That might be an alternative if you don't wanna buy an ipod??

Yes it is; I know it is expensive but I have had so much fun out of it. Got my son & daughter to buy it for my 67th birthday and after all these years I have MY CHOICE of music to enjoy. iTunes is easy to deal with and it really terrific; the easiest way to burn cds and simple to buy songs. There is no need to download free stuff, search for what you want and buy it @ .79p a song and the cds are cheap too. Once bought & downloaded you can do what you want with them. Klisby

I got mine for xmas - brilliant, still the market leader well made& easy to use. Apple offer the whole package with their range of players and itunes.I would definately recommend an ipod.

IPODS are great, bit upset cause I never listen to my CD's anymore, which seems a waste, the only problem with IPOD's are the battery life, which is poor, but there are so many MP3 players out there and some at great prices

There great yeah.. Keep in mind that they do scratch easily..

I have an Ipod Video -

1. It takes ages to find! All the shops i went to had run out and one had got scratches all over it (I won't enter the name :P *ahem* C*me*....)

2. As i said, scratch very easily. What type are you looking for? I bought mine for �240 in the Carphone warehouse. There are cheaper ones but they had all run out..

3. If your looking one for when your running then you should get an Ipod nano or Shuffle. If your looking for one thats for mainly everyday use, you should get Ipod Nano or Ipod Video. Ipod Video can just about fit in your pocket...

You've probably already bought one by now, but hey!

With and Ipod you have to buy the songs from Itunes..

Or you do it the illegal way which is get them from random websites (Of course i do not do that... *ahem*)
