Just wondering...ive found a lovely top that my new bloke would love and want to buy it for him buy want it to be a suprise but i dont what size i should buy! I dont want to ask him cuz it wil ruin suprise! And i need to buy it tomorrow but wont see him later so cant take a sneaky look at his labels! He's 6/6.3 and not skinny but not fat either. help!!!

It all depends on the make, what make is the top?

its not a make - its from debenhams its like a really soft jumper - he saw one similar and said he wanted one.

What I used to do is hold the top in front of me at about the same height it would be if Bf was wearing it, and try to picture him in it. I aways got it right ! Another way is to spot a similar looking guy in the shop (shop assistant or customer ) and politely ask him to "model" for you ! I've done that a few times, and they usually are happy to oblige.

Anyway, in your case, from his height, I would guess he's probably a size L ( you have to consider the length of the item, it doesn't mean he's fat ! ). Good luck.

my boyf is 6ft and average build and usually wears Large for t-shirts and some jumpers but for jackets or even some jumpers that'll be worn over tshirts he does need an x large.

think about what if anything he'll wear underneath the top and that should give u a guide. otherwise as previously suggested grab a willing assistant to try it on for you. i did that quite often when we first started going out and i didnt have a clue what size to get!
