Expensive handbags

Im a guy and am not interested in handbags but a friend (female) was looking on the internet for a handbag (one for herself and one for her mothers birthday) She was willing to spend up to �800 for one for herself and about TWO GRAND for her mum. The handbags she was looking atwere all from about �300 - �7000. Is it just me or is this crazy?

Well crispy nugget, if it were me and I had that sort of money lying around then naturelly I would buy the best of the best. But I dont and my bags look just as good as the ones that cost 100 times more. What I dont understand is women who buy these really expensive items when they cant really afford them!

It's not just you, that IS crazy! I'm a 20 year old female, but have no real interest in bags....although I have a few friends that are, and they're desperate to be seen with an expensive fashionable bag! I just think they're mad!

I am a woman and i would never spend that much on a handbag I lose them, ruin them, some one burnt one because i wouldnt agree to go out with him! . I would never spend more than 20 quid on a bag and that means i have hundreds and all my friends complement me on how different they all are so yes in my book it is crazy yes.

Nah, that really is crazy! You could get a nice car for that! Oh my word, I'm really shocked at that. Surely that's just not right! I'm more of a shoe person anyway...

ABSOLUTELY bxxxdy CRAZY. There again, some people have more money than sense. I`ve got 5 different bags & I don`t think I spent � 30 on ALL of them

Yes, crazy, but then I think so is spending �10,000 on a rolex watch, but that's what some guys do. Even if I had �20 million in the bank I would never spend that on a watch (or a handbag!).

My latest gag is a radley and only cost �110, she is off her head! there is no need for that much, even my old D&G was only �250 on sale, she should wait for the sales

I bought the most gorgeous evening bag in BHS recently, satin one with little roses �6.00 bargain.

My daughter got a polka dot one in Primark for �3.00 today

�2k on a bag - I would be scared to use it!

I bought a decent copy of a Chloe Paddington bag [�800] for 25 quid in Goa, they will copy anything if you take a picture with you.

The most I have ever spent on a handbag was fifty pounds ..a lovely Tula bag which I have had for years.But I felt that was a lot of money at the time ! My current bag cost five pounds from Scope ...real leather too! I could never justify 2K on a handbag....Mr S. would have the vapours if I spent that amount on a bag !
