I have a pair of FHI's and I've had people who own GHD's use them and apparently mine are better!
You can buy FHI's on Ebay or from hairdresser suppliers - they are also cheaper than GHD's by about 40.
FHI's heat up to a higher temperature and are apparently the first straighteners to improve the condition of your hair and help retain colour.
