How about making his and her box gifts? You could get two boxes and fill them with luxury stuff for the bride and groom - i.e expensive luxury smellies, some of their favourite things that they don't often have (could be food, or books or music etc) and just generally fill it with lots of stuff they would love. YOu could also put some unusual bits in there (the firebox website is good and also try Hawkins Bizarre too).

Are they having a honeymoon. You could get them currency for where ever they are going so that they can treat themselves to something whilst there.

How about a Red Letter Day gift? They could go racing car driving, or hot air ballooning or wine tasting or something fun, there's loads of stuff to choose from!

Or you could get them fish! Get a couple of goldfish and do the tank and stuff! They aren't hard to look after, just a bit of food everyday, but they are pretty cool!

Do they have a garden? I got a friend of mine a small fruit tree for her wedding. Once planted they pretty much look after themselves & my friend tells me that whenever they're out in the garden they're reminded of their wedding day

What about a Timecapsule! Have a look at www.timecapsulegifts.co.uk

maybe you could compile a photo album or scrap book which shows their life together over the years, a wedding invitation and then leave space for them to add more memories.

i'm sure the time you spend putting it together and the memories it holds would mean alot

Our friends paid for us to have a night away in a luxury hotel in the dales - which we could take anytime up to three months following the wedding, by arrangment with the hotel to suit us and them. Our friends arranged for the 'voucher' to arrive from the hotel on the morning of our wedding and we used it three weeks later. It was for bed, breakfast and evening meal in a 4-poster room. Fabulous.

Not unusual as such, but nice:

A voucher for a nice meal somewhere.
A voucher for a weekend at a lake diving.

That was my two gifts that I really enjoyed for my wedding!
