Freeview Box

I want to buy a dirt cheap Freeview Box for our kitchen TV, so nothing fancy needed. I've seen them as low as �29.99, does anyone have any recommendations?

I`ve bought 3 freeviews for different rooms & none of mine were expensive. I got them from Argos. Check them out as they`ve got some on sale now. The only thing I`ll tell you is be careful if you want o set it for recording as you can not do this with all the SAGEM ones.

My husband just popped in to be cheeky lol & said that ASDA do them for around �17/18.

cheap ones give crap reception its worth putting a bit into one i have a sony i got for about 80 its excellent

Don't go for one with only one Scart socket. Get one that has two.

Thank you all again, bobtheturkey, don't be offened at only having 2 stars - your advice is valid, it's just I'm a cheapskate & it's not for our main TV (have Sky digibox) so didn't want to spend a fortune.

Then again if I come back on here moaning that my �18 Asda box is durge, you can say I told you so! ;-)

Bobtheturkey. I did not say that the Tesco one was great or crap. I just said the price.Lol. The 3 I have that I paid UNDER �30 for are fantastic. No problems, great pics. It`s only the SAGEM one that can not be timed for recording, but I don`t need that one to do it.

I bought a cheapie from Asda �30 (none cheaper that I could see) & it works brilliantly!

make sure it has buttons on it incase the remote breaks as ours did and couldn't get another remote to tune into it so it went in the bin.
