Dallas & Dynasty Christmas Party > What do I wear??

My collegues have decided on a Dallas & Dynasty themed Christmas party this year, but I'm only 17 so have no idea what they are on about.
What era was this from and what were the dress codes like?
Any info and suggestions on where to buy an outfit from would be greatly appriciated.

go to your local fancy dress hire and they should have loads of the big shoulderpad dresses for hire. Then just dress it up with cheap earrings and necklaces from your local market.
