What shall I do?!?!

I bought an ipod from argos in May and I got the 3 year replacement thing with it but im fed up with it and Im having a lot of problems with it so I want a different mp3 player but they want to give me a new one of the same one!! (and thats the last thing i want). What can I do?

just stick to your guns and tell them you have no confidence in the original [product, if they had run out of it they would give you an alternative and so it is only right they provide a similar qulaity replacement. Push for it and they will let you do it.

Argos are not very good when it comes to Customer Service. If you don't get any joy next time ask to speak to the manager and if he won't help contact head office!

Its an ipod shuffle, I wouldn't recommend buying one. The cheap ones that you can just plug in and upload songs to are better because they involve no other software.

accept the new one, wait a week and take it back and say you want to upgrade.

Under the terms of the Sale Of Goods Act, Argos are obliged to replace the original item, if not fit for purpose, but they are under no obligation to upgrade you. With that in mind, you need their co-op-eration, so you ned to be nice, rather than banging on the counter. Get hold of the manager, explain the situation, and reason with him that you will be delighted to advise everyone you know hnow good your local store is, and hopefully you can win him round. If not, there's little you can do - legally they are right to offer a replacement only.
