Ok i know its early but the shops have christmas stuff already!

Anyway i want to get my shopping done early this year and have already bought some things during the year at sale prices! But i am fed up with buying the same old things for people and the amount of packaging.

I would like to know if there are shops/websites i can get green gifts from?! I would go for the buy a goat for someone in another country but that would not go down well with the closed minded people in my family!!

Try www.woodland-trust.org. They have a 'plant a tree for Xmas' service. The gift that keeps on giving - and growing!
Not sure whether you mean that you want to buy something for a developing country and tell your relatives/friends about it, if so see http://www.good-gifts.org/goodgifts/

OR if you mean that you'd like to buy presents for your friends/family which is also helping someone else, in which case most charities do catalogues at this time of year, so that any gifts you buy a percentage goes to the charity. Just choose your favourite charity (Oxfam? RNLI? or whatever) and contact them.
Amnesty International have an online shop which sells fair grade and green goods. Have bought frome it before and have always been impressed by the stuff.
Green goods? One year I bought a lot of roses for friends to plant in their gardens. Those with no gardens had minature indoor roses or peppers and some had a batch of the normal well used herbs, potting mix and a long tray to replant them in. I got horse manure for my best friend and everyone (a year later) is still talking to me!
