wonder which man is going to be brave enough to answer this ?
I dont see it shouldn't work- it's just hair dye isn't it?
How does it work? By dyeing the hair. Just a wild guess of course!
I've always wondered how it's supposed to work. As someone who hit the bottle years ago, I have a lot of experience with hair dye, and as most girlie know, there are lots of colours/shades to choose from. But Grecian 2000 is supposed to colour the guy's grey hair to blend in with his natural colour. How does it know? Does it just colour it a standard brown or what?
they always made it look like it was a comb through and leave it type of product.

I have to sit with stuff in my hair for half an hour or pay 60 to get the hairdresser to do it.

I thought the idea was no matter what colour your hair was you just had to comb it through and it would make grey hair return to its natural colour - no need to leave on as you would with dying
I can't believe all these answers which are just guesses (and wrong ones) from people who haven't tried it. I tried it (yes, really, at least one of us did!) It isn't a hair dye - it contains some light-sensitive chemical (silver nitrate, I believe) which supposedly gets into your hair and darkens it gradually, over a period. In fact I tried it for a few months and there was little sign of any change, except that my powers of concentration were impaired, and I gave it up to preserve my last shread of sanity and changed to proper women's dye. Even Just For Men is no good. It's just like the women's version except that you don't get as much (our hair is supposed to be shorter), it costs more, and you get a slightly larger pair of disposable gloves. Men, take it from me, there are no half measures. L'Oral Excellence Crme is the dog's ********.
