I'm looking for a fairly cheap sofa, but it's for an attic conversion and it wouldn't be possible to get any normal sofa through the door and up the stairs.

The door is only 56cm wide, leading to the stairs which arre at right-angles to the door.

Presumably I have to buy something you put together yourself - any suggestions?

How about a sofa bed?

Thanks everyone!

I especially like the Sofa in a Box. I have emailed them to find out the dimensions of the box.

I also emailed Argos to find out the packed size of one of their sofas.

On the IKEA website they tell you the box size for every piece of furniture, which is very helpful.
