where do the sellers on ebay obtain their goods - I am talking about the power sellers who sell new items ie: designer clothing, handbags, mobile telephones etc etc.?

I think they buy "clearance" stock from bigger companies.
Clearance stock is sold at rock bottom prices so even if the re - seller sells it for a couple of quid then they will still make a profit....

Powersellers on eBay can also get their stock from wholesalers or Manufacturers.

Most Powersellers on eBay are businesses like most shops on the high street.

Example. 3M, HP and Brother all sell on eBay.

Not all stuff on eBay are "Clearance" items. You can buy up to date items like the new WII.

Manufacturers and wholesalers are not going to advertise on the net like most suppliers otherwise they will end up with lots of calls from people hoping to start up.

If you do a search for wholesale on google, the chances are that the top 100 are NOT used by Powersellers.

It can take a great deal of hard work to find a decent source for products. Those that are "Easy" to obtain will be just as easy for anyone else.
