Hi everyone
I have dead straight hair. Any recommendations of the best method of putting a curl in it from time to time without ruining the condition. ie curling tongs, heated rollers .. etc. Also the best lotion to use on the hair to protect it. Any advice gratefully received. Thank you.

I use straightners to curl my hair, you put the striaghtners from the root and turn them wrapping hair around them, then hold for a few seconds and pull away from your head and leaves nice big curls, depending on the size of the straightners i.e thin or fat, thinner ones obviously make smaller curls, also sue heat protection spray before on each piece of hair.
hi

my hair is poker straight too and rarely holds a curl. but my friend used her heated rollers on it (spraying each section of hair first with some sort of gel spray or hairspray) and it worked miricles.
i've also tried GHD straighteners to curl, and while they work for most, i struggled!
I use tress-mae heat protection pray also, and serum while my hair is wet this is all helps with the process.
This would probably be better in the Beauty section under Body and Soul, it would get you more answers

Ooooer, good advice, thanks everyone, I've posted in the correct section now.
Have a look at www.ghdhair.com - click on United Kingdom to enter the site, click on 'TRENDS' along the top, then 'LOOKS' & you'll see 'STEP-BY-STEP TECHNIQUES' in the middle of the screen. Choose the style you want & then 'VIEW VIDEO' for a step-by-step demo of how to create your new barnet!

Happy hair-doing!
If you want a "crimped" look, which stays in for days - wash your hair before going to bed and plait it into as many thin plaits as you have the time to do. The next day, when your hair's dried naturally, take out the bands and see the result! You can either brush your hair for a wild and "hippy chic" look, or gently comb the plaits out.
