I'm a size 14.What kind of thind should I be wearing to go out

Hi I'm an 18 year old student.I'm a size 14 and 5ft6.I am stuck as I can't find anything to wear for nights out.I will be going to uni in September and need a few outfits for when I go to nightclubs and also a smart casual outfit for for formal dinners.Also what does one wear to a bar or student union? I don't want to look weird.

I would have a look on some fashion shop websites to get a few ideas of what the current fashion is. Try...www.warehouse.co.uk or www.riverisland.co.uk, The River Island website also shows you how to put outfits together and shows different styles for different occassions. This should be enough to get you started x

My advice would be first get a nice colour (not sunbed) false tan it makes you feel a lot more confident of getting a bit of leg out instead of wearing pants all the time, don't flash too much though if you wear a lowish top have a big neclace on, wear a long white shirt with a big brown belt loose around your hips at an angle dress up with accessories a wrap around dress would be really good for you on a formal dinner with jewellery to match and a really nice pair of shoes to finish it off.

also..... student union you will not go wrong with a really nice pair of jeans an a diesel/dkny designer t shirt not too expensive (tk maxx) just make sure the name isnt plastered all over it.

Have a look around the sales. There are lots of nice tops around at the moment. They will go nice over jeans or trousers. I think the tops that have a bit of diamante or beading are really nice. They are great for nights or days. Avoid Primark if u can. I have bought two tops from Primark recently and one went out of shape when washed and one of them the colour ran when I washed it. I bought a couple of nice tops from Bay trading for �10 each in the sale and a top from Debenhams for �10 in the sale and they are much better quality.

Hi sweet teen...glad to hear you're going to Uni. Good for you. I'm a size 14 and 5'5" so we're similar builds I guess. I wear lots of bootleg trousers and a-line skirts cut to flatter my bum!! I would say that just because you're going to go clubbing you don't have to wear a bikini like some girls your age do. Less is more (as in flesh, not clothes).
Wrap dresses are ace too., Donna's right.
