Anyone else get caught out by the �5 WH Smith discount vouchers? I tried to use it to help pay for a CD and DVD I wanted...only to be told they're not valid when purchasing CDs or DVDs. Okay, it was written on the voucher in small print, but so small I didn't see it and now I'm annoyed big time.

I find WHSmith and Boots the dearest shops on the High St, they mark up things really high and then ,when they have a sale it goes down to the ordinary price, is it just me or does anyone else notice this ?and then when there are special offers, as above there is always a snag.For instance I wanted to buy the dvd of Hairspray to give as a xma s present it was �14.99, well WHSmith gave me the run around and kept me waiting so long that I left only to find that Asda were selling the same for �3 cheaper plus the latest Pirates of the Caribbean or �8.99 whilst Smiths were still charging full price.In actual fact they did me a favour by not serving me.
If I get a WHSmith voucher nowadays I usually buy postage stamps with it , then you cant go wrong.
