Dyeing a t Shirt

Can anyone tell me if I would be able to dye a T shirt even if it as printed writing on it, would the writing change colour or stay the same colour as it is made of some sort of plastic.

You can dye T-Shirts. However, the stitching will remain the original colour and if you go to a very dark colour eg black or navy, the lighter parts of the screenprint may take on some of the darker colour.
