Hi
I used to have a Solo card , at the time I was unemployed, when I started work I was in my bank and they asked if I wanted to change it to Visa Debit I said no I was ok with solo then she explain that it was high risk or words to say that it did not have much credibility, so I changed to Visa Debit. Tell your husband to do the same!!
Hope this helps, although don't know why Tesco won't take it.

Thanks folks I've told him to ring the bank to see what they can suggest. Obviously he can go other places for diesel but as he drives all over the country, can be caught out occasionally and if tesco is the only option in the area he'll be in bother. Thanks again.
Heard today that Tesco aren't taking Solo cards anymore on online shopping. Friend paid for shopping as always does with Solo, next day gets call shopping is on lorry ready to go out and they just realised they don't take Solo anymore (used to be just Visa Electron). So they wouldn't deliver the order unless he paid with another card! They are gonna lose a lot of customers this way. Apparently it's a new decision
