Anyone know where I can get a cardboard giftbox from. I have tried cliton cards but they only have gift boxes made from thin card.

if you want something really sturdy then how about a storage box thats patterned? It can be used for other things long after the gift has gone.

ive seen large boxes with handles in sainsburys too and childrens ones in aldis at times
for a strong gift box i go to the shoe shop and ask for empty shoe boxes and then cover with suitable wrapping paper...
