Is anyone else experiencing problems with goods they ordered from The Original Gift Company catalogue?

I ordered 12 items on 14th November. Four of these (3 Christmas gifts for children & one 21st Birthday present) are still outstanding. I have written once but have not received a reply, and I have telephoned twice. When I telephoned, I was kept waiting for 15/20 minutes in a queue whilst I was forced to listen to a most patronising recorded message. When I finally got through to someone, I was told that all items had been dispatched and would be with my shortly. This has not happened.

I have been a customer of The Original Gift Company for several years & have always been very satisfied with my purchases and the excellent customer service in the past.

Do any of you have recent experience as a customer of this company?

In October half term I visited their shop in Stow-On-The-Wold. I had seen a catalogue and thought I would be able to purchase the item I wanted in the shop, but they didn't have any. When I asked at the counter they said I could order it through them, without paying the usual p&p. I paid for it and left my details and less than a week later the item was with me. So yes, I was very happy with the service, especially as I'd saved the p&p I would have paid if I'd ordered through the catalogue!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with delivery DSJ. I've used this company and always been very pleased with them. It sounds as though the courier's at fault, so if you find out who they use, you can contact them directly.
I had some problems with them last year, I ordered several Christmas presents from them at the beggining of november, 2 arrived in time for christmas but I didn't get the other 4 until the 8th of Jan, I kept ringing them and emailing but all they could say was that they had been dispatched and there was nothing more they could do, I asked who was dispatching them but they wouldn't tell me, so needless to say I won't be using them again.

There has been some slight progress today, Saturday. Two of the identical children's gifts have arrived late this morning but the third is still missing. The 21st birthday present has still not arrived.

I also received a letter in answer to mine of last Monday (I faxed it to them) in which I am told that the 3 children's gifts were all dispatched on 12th December & that the 21st birthday present was dispatched on 15th December.

I am still very dissatisfied with the service here and will be taking my business elsewhere in future.
