and i can't afford one!
Do i gamble on a cheaper make, like Beko?
I can get all the features i want for half the price of the better known brands.

I have a Siemens washer, which I bought about 7 years ago now, it was reduced quite drastically because a new model was being launched, I think it was from Comet, the new model wasn't much different , except for the price! Anyway, it's superb, it's worked really hard from day one, never broken down, and is still going strong, so maybe go and see if you can find a similar bargain, remember they hide them near the back usually! Good luck with it...........welsh
buy a refurbished one from a reputable second hand shop- you will find some real bargains.

B and Q have some good deals on washers at the moment if you want to buy a new one.

i've had my cheapy 170 Hotpoint for 2 years now without any trouble. I don't know what "special features" you're after as mine is used to wash clothes at 60deg almost exclusively!!

i've seen a candy for 268.
it's got 1600 spin and 8kg load.
also, a quick wash option and time remaining indicator.
I believe that the inside bits are made by zanussi, so it should be ok.

I'm just waiting till payday, to see if i can afford it!
