Shopping baskets with wheels
8 Answers
I've noticed some shops have started having plastic shopping baskets with wheels and 2 handles - one to carry as normal and one longer handle to pull/push it on wheels when it gets too heavy to carry. Does anyone know where I can get hold of one as it would be ideal to use for small amounts of shopping that is too heavy to carry and it would save me having to feel guilty about using the car. However, I don't want a full blown O.A.P. shopping trolley quite yet!

Ice.Maiden: thanks for the website. The trolleys are very trendy compared to the usual tartan types which OAPs have! I was really more interested in ones like Pat has found (if only they were cheaper!).
Legend: I didn't realise Sainsbury's had them as I shop at Tesco's (nearer). Still, I don't think Sainsbury's would be too happy for me to take one of theirs! When Woolies were closing down and were selling off all their fixtures and fittings, I did go in to ask if they were selling their baskets which they were, but there were only a couple left and they were damaged.

This is better than the baskets you refer to as it is designed to cope with outdoors, rather than just a smooth supermarket floor.
