Is it safe to buy contacts online?

Is it safe to purchase contact lenses and solutions from online stores? These stores offer some good discounts as compared to purchasing them from a regular shop. My only concern is, how reliable are they?

I always used to buy mine online, it's much cheaper!
I just bought the same as what my optician had prescribed me though, and I've never had a problem

yep me too-they're excatly the same lenses that your opticians orders-and the online company buy them from exactly the same source as your optician does so there is no need to worry. I buy mine online now and will never pay optician prices again. Opticians charge more as they have ground rent to charge-and its a nusicance going there, waiting in line, ordering lenses, and going to pick them up and having to deal with their staff etc, with online its so much better, make sure you have a contact lens check before you get lenses, or not!
