I have paid the deposit on a property being built in a 72 house development in slovakia by English contractors. Because of the economic climate over here, over half the other investors have pulled out and because they have other investments with this company in other country's, their deposits have been deferred to these other investments. I want a refund because what i signed up for is not happening. What can i do

Read the terms of your contract. It may include circumstances under which you can pull out of the deal. Then again it may not. Caveat emptor.

it does not
Then you will have to try and negotiate. But you have little leverage. It helps, I suppose, if the contract is binding in England. Is it?

yes its an English company, English solicitors, English everything.

The only thing foreign is the country and the builders who they would be using over in slovakia
