ebay Seller took 11 days to despatch item. What feedback would you leave?

Anyway, it's taken a seller 11 days to despatch something I bought as a BIN. No explanation or apology from the seller, just an "I've despatched your item today" message. I think 11 days is unnacceptable, particularly without any warning or explanation. What feedback should I leave? What is fair?
I'm not going to ask this on the ebay boards yet as most people there seem to be sellers, so I think I'd get more unbiased opinion shere.

Had the same thing a while ago - all I did was to leave neutral feedback and in the space where you are asked to leave your feedback comments I put "No comment possible" and left it at that. Sellers are now not allowed, under E Bay rules, to leave negative feedback. Hope this helps

I buy and sell on Ebay Vanessa and that does seem a long time for an item to be despatched. I send my stuff out straightaway and if there is a problem I always send an email to the buyer to explain why.
Just give neutral feedback and say with a mention about the long delay. Its not worth getting nasty on Ebay giving negative feedback, because then it falls into slanging match and helps nobody.

I'm having the same problem. I bought a book over 2 weeks ago and i wanted it for this weekend as a birthday present. I emailed him today to ask where it was and he said he had been away on business and was going to post it today but if I wanted it for tomorrow i would have to pay another £2 !! It is not my problem that he was away on business and I am disgusted with his attitude. He has got 100% feedback but I think I am going to leave him bad feedback cos of his attitude and unhelpfulness.
I haven't sold a lot on Ebay, but if I have been unable to dispatch an item next day, I would immediately upgrade the postage to first class or next day to make up for my delay - that is definitely too long, if he needed to be away on business he dhould have mentioned this in his listing then dispatched by the quickest method when he got back - the curtesy of an email costs nothing. I would leave nuetralf eedback with low scores as mentioned previouslyprovided you are yherwise happy with the item.

I would state that the item arrived as described after a long wait and poor communication from the seller as although sellers arn't permitted to leave their buyers any negative feedback they are however permitted to reply to feedback they receive and you wouldn't want him to leave anything nasty about you albeit false as he may decide to do if you leave him negative feedback..give him a neutral.
Ask for an apology before you leave any feedback, there might be reason as to why, other than being away, he couldn't send sooner.
I use ebay all the time and I agree that items should be sent out as soon as possible but you have to allow for errors with delivering. He/she sent your item and I'm assuming that it is acceptable. I think before you leave neutral feedback you should contact the seller and ast for a reasonable explanation.
Neutral feedback is always as bad as negative feedback, if he can explain as to why he left it that long I don't think that he deserves neutral or negative feedback.
