Can you still buy the 'Old fashioned' blocks of soap like my mother used to use, ie. non perfumed for domestic cleaning and washing brushes etc. I think it was called Fairy. I can only find perfumed toilet soap everywhere. Thanks.

Wow! Great response. The site pointed to by craft 1948 shows that manufacture has ceased and only held stocks are available until it's all gone, -so get in line ! I actually want it to finish off cleaning paint brushes after turps. That striding baby in the (cotton)nappy does evoke memories! Thanks everyone.

You can still buy block soap but people are soooo cautious these days because of infection control, we're not allowed to use soap any more, we have to use the squishy goop that comes out of a dispenser in case the Last Person left Germs on the Soap...
