Shoppers Beware - On Internet Technology, I have just posted a question, asking for advice before my daughter buys a Cybercom Computer. I have received a reply from a 'Sludge' informing me that my question is improper. I see that other users have posted Q/A on where to buy, what to buy & from which retailer. 'Sludge' says this is not allowed. What is the Shopping category for then, may I ask?

Precisely tigga!

If Sludge wanted to abide by Site Rules and systems so pedantically s/he would have realised it was more appropriate to use the report button and let the ed. judge appropriateness of question?

Sludge unfortunately is an 'old friend' who comes back in many guises to upset Smudge.  Please just ignore this person Smudge.  Ignore their postings as most people know what is going on.  Hopefully the Editors are aware of this and will take appropriate action.  It is very sad that this has continued for so long and that the person concerned is still able to access the site.

Thank you all for your support.

It is patently obvious I am being hounded by this person. She is trying to do AB Ed's job for him/her & wants it known to others, hence posting rather than using the Report Button. Kind regards, smudge.

I think FP is completely right Smudge.  In future we really shouldn't rise to the bait and respond at all, just press the report button.  Maybe then the ed. will wake up and realise what this person is about.  And changing IDs won't make any difference - they are noticeable under any name.

Hi brawburd, I tried the report buttons & no response. I e-mailed AB Ed last night, no response - hence the postings. Anyway - I've had a lovely day with my daughter & Granddaughter, have also just read all the helpful & friendly replies from you all & couldn't care a less about sad & insignificant people tonight.

What comes round goes around comes to mind! Cheers.

AB Ed informs me that he/she has written to Sludge regarding this unnecessary problem. I have also been informed that there was nothing wrong with my Cybercom PC question. This has restored my faith in Answerbank. Thank you.
