Wankey????
It's not often you see the letter K in the Spanish language.
Question Author
that's how it's spelt in the email - from Madrid?
It might be a "sobrenombre" or nickname.

NoMercy...he's a family man and surely would know how this sounds in english?
I thought the only Spanish words that used the letter K were words taken from other languages, but adopted by the Spanish (eg. Kilometro). Isn't the letter Q more usually incorporated into Spanish words and names ?

I doubt it....

I was with a friend of mine who valets the cars for the Birmingham city players. One night we were in a bar in Dickens Heath and there were one or two of the players there with a foreign player who was on loan to Birmingham City.... they were teaching him to say "boll0x" and other such words. He had no clue... lol
Yes, JJ.

The letter W is also quite sparse in the Spanish lingo.
Anything to do with Widow Juankey from the Pantos ?
or, to take the usual slant, Donkey Hotey?
LOL boxtops

Don Quijote is the name of the restaurant round the corner. They spell it "Quixote" in Valenciano.

I wonder if "Juankey" was a typo? I've heard of men calling themselves "Juanney". We had a guy here we used to call Juanney 5 ! lol

There are no Portuguese words that use the letters K, W or Y

(except where they just use foreign words ... eg a "walkie talkie" is "um walkie talkie")
