80's Fashion

I'm going to an 80's themed nightclub soon and have no idea what to wear! I was only a toddler/child in the 80's! I have googled and have an idea what was around but still don't know what to actually wear. Can anyone help please?

Leggings are in fashion so they're easy and i think you can get leg warmers from Claires. Bodys are back in fashion so one of those would do as a leotard then some ballet pump type shoes to finish off.

most of it you should be able to buy as separates as hau kola says, there is a bit of an 80s revival going on in the high street

Watch Ashes to Ashes - it's nostalgia ville - batwing sleeves, lycra skirts, leggings, big belts, off the shoulder jumpers etc

Thanks guys, I've already got some leggings so will probably go down that route... Am thinking oversized t-shirts though rather than a leotard though as haven't quite got the figure (or confidence!) for one of those!

The fluorescent stuff around now would be good - remember you need to have "big" hair very defined eyebrows, and use eyeliner and lots of eyeshadow. I can remember wearing lots of pastel coloured patent leather kitten heel court shoes and also pixie boots. I also remember the triple layer of shoulder pads - t-shirt or shirt, then jacket, then coat - surprised I could fit through doors!!

There is loads of 80s stuff around at the minute. I put together an outfit last week from Internacionale (used to be Mark One) New Look, Peacocks, Primark and Clares Accessories.
