I need to pack more than 500 mugs for storing & possibly carrying to an auctioneer. Can anyone provide me with a link to a company that sells such boxes?

I have looked at various websites & can find boxes for individual mugs but not ones for packing in bulk.

You don't say what area you are. Have you tried phoning a local carton/cardboard packaging company, (we have two locally) and asking their advice. Most only do massive runs of cardboard boxes for companies, but they may be able to advise you or point you in the right direction better than us. good luck.

do you have any local pottery companies or those places that let you paint your own items? - they may well have boxes that they receive their mugs in that they would let you have or buy or could put you in touch with their supplier - what you really want is those divider things that fit inside the boxes to seperate out the mugs.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I am working on them this afternoon.
Why not ask at your local shops e.g. Waitrose, Co-op etc.? I've seen quite a few people asking them for the old boxes/containers that would otherwise just be thrown out when unpacked.I've asked them myself when moving house and they always oblige and are in fact quite glad to get rid of them. Good luck anyway DSJ
Big Yellow self Storage sell boxes, and Ebay had some self assembly boxes.
