I wondered if anyone knew of a duvet that would fit easily onto a sleigh bed or a bed that has a foot board. A standard quilt either has to be tucked into the bottom or sits on a lump at the bottom of the bed. A friend tells me that on the continent, quilts very often have a length of fabric which is used to tuck into the end and the quilt is a little bit shorter in the length so that it's not too long. I've tried searching on the web but can't seem to find anything like that available in this country. Can anyone help? Thank you (also posted in home and garden)
if its a double, you could just turn it sideways - a king is square - i think - so that wouldn't work - the problem with buying a shorter or not standard duvet is that you would struggle to get bedlinen to fit. Actually even it is is king - buy a double and turn it sideways - should work. Wouldn't work in our house - we need a king for the length and wouldn't by a sleigh bed as hubby needs to stick his feet out the end!
