i have just bought some lovely fluffy brown boots for winter, however the soles are very thin and i can tell by looking at them they will war down soon. Does anybody know how much ish is costs to get soles put on boots like these, just so i have an idea on how much i will be looking at. Thanks :)

I have some nice boots which will certainly do me a couple of winters - I went to Timpsons when I put them away in February, a full resole and heel cost me about £19. It will depend what sort of heels yours are, mine are all in one.

Ohh good i will be off to a timpsons :)
and yes a want a flat but thick sole.. they are nice thick boots and i want a big flat sole :) thanks!!!! :)
I also wanted to be sure that they were not smooth-soled - I can fall over when it's not icy, let alone when it is!

ahaa me too!
i was going to get some boots with real thick soles with the ones i wanted were flat, and within a few days they are worn down to the back of the boot. i dont mean like the uggs that go inwards i mean the rubber wears down.. lol
BTW - if you pay at Timpsons here in Dover at the time you put the boots in, they give you 10% off - my boot man said that he was fed up with people putting shoes in then never coming back for them. See if yours does it too!
