Has anyone got one of those 'Memory Mattresses'? you know the sort that moulds your body or your body moulds it. They are supposed to be expensive but well worth
it. My bro has a 'Topper' and likes it but the full mattress, have you?
Tell me about it, are they worth the money to you?

Boy if my mattress had a memory!!!
My brother wouldnt be without his, they are expensive but he claims that he has never slept as well on a regular one.
I could do with one of those in the winter the redhelen. I'm always cold and it takes me ages to warm up.
I have one. Initially bought a topper, but when I needed a new bed treated myself to the real thing. I think I have fewer aches and pains than I used to get. But it isn't a miracle worker, still get the odd pain. Interestingly I found it more firm than the topper when I first used it.
i want one but i;ve heard about the hot thing and i hate being hot

Sounds good :o)
The trouble with a Memory Mattresses is that it remembers how many different Women have slept in your Bed and alerts the Wife !! ;-))
Never had one but I'v slept on one in a hotel it was comfy. I know of someone who had one and he got rid of it as it got a big dip in the middle of it, it was a cheep one though.
Friends of a certain age have complained they are very hot to sleep on.... I tried a memory foam pillow......it lasted one night!!!!
Lol Redman!
Just to say this is the first I have heard of a heat problem. It isn't something I've experienced. Makes me wonder if different brands are the same material after all. If I'm feeling over-hot in the summer, I find having a lower tog quilt, or even going without one, usually works for me.
I was going to get one,as my sister said hers was great, albeit very expensive. She warned me about it being hot so I decided against it. I only have a summer weight duvet on the bed all year round.
They are stunning bits of kit Jem, go for it. I also suggest the pillows & a down duvet.

It may be one reason why I find it hard waking up in the morning though...

Spare Ed
We've got one for us and one for the spare room, also bought one for our son at his new house, they are the best beds ever! You may feel that its too firm at first but you do sink into them. The ones we have are about 12" deep, the bottom 9" is a firm foam and the top 3" is the memory foam. If you get one it'll be vac packed into a tube shape and only open it in the room you're going to use it as they are really heavy and harder to move when expanded. Oh and before we got it, I did suffer backache from time to time....not now!
I have a mattress topper and it is fab, only cost me £40.00, well worth it!!

Hi Jem.

Sorry to be late but, for what it's worth, this looks like a 'Marmite' question to me.
i.e. it a case of 'love it' or 'loathe it', with no middle ground.

I think there are different types of memory mattress so if the heat is an issue for you look for 'keep cool' version or 'breathable'

I can understand why they make you hot because the foam is very dense and if you body is encapsulated in the foam air cannot freely move round my body in addition heat cannot leave the body freely.

.....if you lied on you back all night farting like a trooper would any fart escape the foam depths?
