Please can anyone tell me what paints and glues will adhere to polystyrene for painting model scenery. Are there any difficulties? I want them for model train scenery. Many thanks, Bramleyboy.

Paints for plastic models are normally oil-based enamels, like Humbrol, or water-based acrylics, like Tamiya. Plastic parts often have a near-invisible coating of oil on them. Ordinary wallpaper paste will stick. Some glues destroy polystyrene. Can't answer the paint but I had no problems with emulsion or gloss.
