Please can anyone tell me what paints and glues will adhere to polystyrene for painting model scenery. Are there any difficulties? I want them for model train scenery. Many thanks, Bramleyboy.

Paints for plastic models are normally oil-based enamels, like Humbrol, or water-based acrylics, like Tamiya. Plastic parts often have a near- invisible coating of oil on them. To ensure the best finish, before painting, add a few drops of washing up liquid to some water, scrub the parts with a toothbrush, and let them air dry.
