What does EPAI stand for on Australian souvenir teaspoons

Hiya, it might be EPA1 (?) If so, the EP stands for Electroplated (as Brinjal has correctly noted) and the A1 will be the makers Standard Mark - for example A1 = the highest quality, A2 = not quite the best standard etc Some spoons do however have the EPAI on, but other the Iridium, I can't see what metal the I could stand for. Electroplated Australian Iridium?...

Some spoons do however have the EPAI on, but other the Iridium, I can't see what metal the I could stand for. Electroplated Australian Iridium? Possibly Electroplated Aluminium Isolate - But I'm just clutching at spoons now... There are a few Scottish ones with with EPAI on too... hmmm....
Peasy's right. A1 is a mark put on EP ware by a maker, supposedly to denote the quality. It doesn't mean anything else, and it doesn't count in law as a hallmark - it has no legal standing.
